One of my many goals as a Visual Artist is to be the cover artist for the Boise Weekly. No small feat. I have submitted work twice and it was rejected but they can't tell you what they are looking for...just if they see it, they know it...so after looking at the covers now for over 2 years maybe I have it down?
The first time I submitted images, they were all flat square collages or paintings. The second time, they were photos of my 3D assemblages. This time they are the original art but more of a flattened type assemblage. All 3 are made in CD tins, that AOL used to send in the mail every other day. I'm glad I saved them. They also all use my new favorite media- wax. Wish me luck... I drop them off tomorrow. :)
